Bytebond

role Gameplay Programmer — movement, camera & puzzles year 2025 status Released
the brief

Bytebond is an online and couch co-op puzzle game about two droids taking back control of an infected CPU — energy management, teamwork, and neon-lit silicon. Released in 2025 on Steam and the Microsoft Store, published by Anshar Publishing.

Four years of after-hours work with a team of seven. I touched almost every corner of the project, with the deepest ownership in game feel: movement, the camera, and the puzzles themselves — plus the networking and dependency-injection architecture underneath.

what I owned
  • Camera transitions — the smooth camera work that carries players between puzzle spaces without a single cut.
  • Character movement — droid movement tuned until it feels good in the hand — the heart of the game's feel.
  • Puzzle implementation — built puzzles end-to-end, from mechanic prototype to final placement and pacing.
  • Networking & architecture — online co-op networking and the Zenject dependency-injection backbone the project stands on.
